If you have placed an order for a product either by phone or over the Internet, you may want to track the shipment to see if the arrives on time. This is especially important of you have paid for expedited shipping. If you do not receive your shipment on time you can contact the company you purchased the item from and attempt to obtain part of your shipment payment back.

  1. Fill out your email account information when purchasing the product. This way the shipping company can send you a shipment confirmation email with the tracking number.
  2. Take note of the length of time the shipping option is that you select. Usually the shipment methods are grouped into time frames, such as three to five or five to seven days).
  3. Avoid counting weekend days in while determining an on time shipment. If you ordered the product on Friday, don’t begin counting shipment days until Monday. Many shipment carriers do not provide weekend service.
  4. Click on the tracking email you received and you can see where the package is and when the expected delivery date is. From there you can determine if the package is on time or not.
